Installing Google Chrome In Nokia N900- for begineers



Step 1:- to get this 2 Files:

1. libxss-1.1.3.deb
http://www.4shared.com/file/Sl6PMH_v/libxss-113.html

2. chromium-5.0.369.2.deb (THIS ONE IS ONLY REQUIRED)
http://maemo.jacekowski.org/pool/free/c/chromium/chromium_5.0.369.2-maemo4_armel.deb




Step 2:- How to install:

1.
Make sure you have root-acces in Xterminal. To do this you need to download OpenSh from the Maemo-repositories. or go to application manager> download> all > and type "rootsh" > and download & install rootsh

2.
Go to http://jacekowski.org/maemo/ and download chromium-5.0.369.2.deb and libxss-1.1.3.deb. Put these 2 files in the root directory of your N900.

3.
Open Xterminal and type:
Root

Type:
apt-get install libxss1

Then go back to your File Browser and Just OPEN  chromium-5.0.369.2.deb  file which will open in application manager just wait for few second and it will start installing automatically ( I was connected to the internet using wifi during this whole process you should get a better gprs connection atleast for this setup to be done.)
